Legends, Fantasy

& Memories

I remember watching Movie Magic back in the 90’s, a show that took viewers behind the scenes to reveal the fascinating processes involved in making TV shows and films. The intricate work of makeup artists and prosthetics creators brought both magic and horror to life on screen. The 80’s and 90’s were truly a remarkable era, marked by the creation of many unforgettable cult classics that continue to influence pop culture today.

Painting portraits of legendary characters evokes a deep sense of nostalgia and memories for me. The art of pop culture has a unique way of bringing people together across generations. I especially love hearing stories that begin with, “I can remember when…” and how those moments connect us all.

My name is Chad Berwald, and I’m a Creative Mentor at Revision, a welcoming and inclusive art studio for adults with disabilities. My passion is encouraging, guiding, and promoting budding artists, helping them grow and express themselves. I enjoy teaching art workshops for local nonprofits, where I have the opportunity to inspire creativity in diverse communities. Bringing people together in a supportive environment to relax, let go, and have fun through art is something I love. Preserving treasured memories through my artwork, creating meaningful experiences one painting at a time.
